About Us

Visit York is the official tourism organisation for York and the surrounding area. It is a non-profit, public/private sector company operating to develop and strengthen the promotion of York's tourism industry.

Visit York aims to:

• Increase the value of tourism to the York economy by creating a stronger more integrated industry
• Provide leadership to the York tourism industry
• Generate revenue to support the marketing of the city

Visit York is supported by over 640 businesses, Welcome to Yorkshire, City of York Council and Yorkshire Forward. It works in partnership with Welcome to Yorkshire (the region's official tourism body) and the five other tourism partnerships within the county.
