Be inspired by live music, dance and drama in historic settings. See innovative light installations both indoors and outdoors or take in a performance in York’s world famous Minster. The programme includes a truly stunning commission Accendo by Ross Ashton in Museum Gardens, whose previous works include the MTV European Music Awards, The Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the Queens Golden Jubilee. This festival really does have something for everyone.
The event is now in its fourth year and continues to showcase York as a vibrant, contemporary and creative city. The event breathes light and innovation into York’s historic and urban environment, attracting visitors from far and wide.
The Illuminating York festival begins on October 24th and will last until November 2nd. Do not miss it!
